How did you get interested in cars:
I first became interested in cars when I was 16 and traded the truck I bought from my dad for Jeep wrangler to join an off-roading club. I did a lot of off-roading throughout high school and post grad. Specifically the 89-95s spoke to me. We would take them trail riding, things would break, and we had to figure out how to fix it to get it back out there. That was my first time learning basic maintenance of a vehicle. This carried over into my time in the military as I helped my friends and fellow Marines with their pet projects and cars as they came through the base.

How did you start in the professional mechanic world:
In the military, I was infantry and advanced infantry. I was assigned a 16 ton, 8 wheeled recon vehicle (LAV) as a driver. As the driver you are responsible to assist the mechanics with all repairs, including oil changes, brakes, and tire rotations. When bigger issues would arise, we would have regular maintenance intervals that I would assist with as well.

After the military, I attended Jones Technical Institute in Jacksonville, FL for an Occupational Associates. After that, I spent my time paying my dues working in shops all over the city. I got to experience all different shop styles and took the best of what they could teach me. The mentors in my life gave me their individual expertise to translate into my own working style and tool box of knowledge.

Tell me what you’re doing now
While working at those shops, I noticed how much people were overpaying for car care. I started my business to save people money, keep people on the road, and have the flexibility I need to be there for my family. I strongly believe that God has given me the skills to help my community in this way. I want to change the stereotype around mechanics to someone you can trust and look forward to working with. People shouldn’t be afraid to call their mechanic when they need them. Fixing your car shouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg.
